For sale: Skylark guitar in excellent condition, just missing a backplate screw and thread insert, otherwise would be mint condition.  Bought it from a club member to try out.  Beautiful guitar, but my other guitars are long scale (25.5") and the Skylark is 24.75" with a narrower neck. Turns out I prefer the longer wider necks. Selling at what I bought it for $4000.

My respect to you for not flipping it for personal gain.

Mica, is there any difference between the pickups in a 2005 Skylark and a new Skylark with the gold lettering on the pickups?

Very little. The newer Skylark has the slightly longer HGR pickup which allows for wider bridge spacing. The aperture (width) of the pickup is the same, and it has the same number of turns. But the new pickups are a little too long for the old routs. Should be nearly indistinguishable tonewise.

Although, like the other topic with bass pickups, the newer ones are in a shell, so the coil is closer to the top than one made in a silicone mold. So the older ones will have to be closer to the strings for the coil to be the same distance as the newer ones.

Bill said don't sell it unless I buy another Alembic.  Well, I bought another Alembic, so I'm putting this one back up for sale.  I bought it for $4000 and would like to sell it for the same price.

Paul, yes, and I've never had a guitar with an onboard effects loop, I'm looking forward to exploring that feature.
