No, as much as I would like a Further, I don't see that happening right now.  It must have been someone else since I don't post on Strat-talk.  I did have this Series guitar posted on Thegearpage for a while, but no inquiries so I took it down last week. I just took this down from reverb as well since the only interest was from low ballers and scammers.  I'll leave it posted here for a while, but I just played it again today and it really is a fantastic guitar, so may just end up keeping it and selling the Starfire IV instead (which is actually a pretty heavy guitar... 10 pounds).

I remembered where I saw it.  There's another Rob V on the "New New GDMF" facebook group and his buddy just gave him a Further.   I thought it was you.

Comes with a Calton case I had custom made ($1500 value) in like-new condition.

That case is incredibly well-built. Back when I had it I often wished my Series bass would fit in it, rather than the giant rectangle. Alas, in the parlance of Archie Campbell in an old fractured fairy tale... it fittin dit. 😄

Someone who had both 1116 here, and Bill TGO's 12-string would have quite a nice matching pair of Peruvians.

$4,500 with that case is a good buy. Surprised no one has picked it up yet?

Which brings up a point I don't understand...Why do Series basses ALWAYS go for a lot more than Series guitars? But that's another thread.

Played it for a while today. This is an amazing guitar. Putting this on hold.

Putting this Series I guitar back up for sale.  It's a beautiful guitar and I love the way it sounds and plays, but for a guitar it is just a bit too heavy for me.  I'm asking $4500 shipped, which I think is a fair price for a Series I guitar and custom Calton case, both in excellent condition.  Please PM me if interested.  Thanks.

Moderators, please mark the heading at the beginning/top of the thread as For Sale. Thanks.

1116 is one of the finest guitars I ever had the pleasure of playing. My gears are stripped trying to justify having it, and the Darling and the Alembicized medium-scale, Miyagi guitar. Just can't do it. Somebody here ought to though. That is an amazing guitar at a huge discount.

Thanks, Greg.  I am really surprised that there has been no interest in this guitar.  It's a fantastic instrument and if it was s couple pounds lighter I would not be selling it.  I'll put it back at $4500 shipped for any one who would like to buy it, and leave it there until I come to my senses :)   Thanks.

In case somebody's not doing the math... that's a vintage Series guitar for about $3k. 😳

I had those custom made, ebony and gold wire, they cost $75 each.  I think I will probably leave them on the guitar. I may have some extras if you are interested.
How many extra do you have?

I have since used the extra knobs I had for other instruments.
