I just bought a Series guitar, so I'm going to put this bass back up for sale to help offset the cost.  It will have the AXY pickups in it. It's really a great bass. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks

Full description at the top of this post. It also includes the pan preamp (new).  $4300 shipped, which is a fair price for this bass. Thanks.

Is there any reason this can't be restored to a Series 1?

It can be easily restored to a Series bass if someone is inclined to do so.

I would sell the body, no pickups or electronics, for $3500 if anyone is interested.

Now there is a possibility I hadn't considered... what if someone out there had a Series bass that's body or more likely, neck was trashed? Like irreparably, gotta' cut the wings off and make another. Well, here's your solution; 582 is in fine structural condition. If I've read right, Rob's had it refretted too. If you have a full set of Series guts to go in there, or you don't mind the price and the hang in the waiting room for a new set... well shoot, why not?

Me, I think a little bit different... Rob already has a V-P-F/Q-3 circuit in there. I can count on the fingers of one hand the gigs where I needed anything more than that (exactly what's on my Persuader) If anything, I'd add rotary Bass and Treble controls to it, and have myself a vintage Alembic with East-Meets-West electronics. And I'd have already done it, if she were medium-scale. Yessir... I'd have me a birdseye maple topped Classic to go with the Chain bass. I just ain't got the arms for it.

There's a lot of ways you could go here, none of them necessarily wrong. You have to remember where this one started from a couple years ago.

Thanks, Greg, I am hoping someone here will buy it, it is a great sounding bass. $3500 as is with the current essence electronics. I'll split the shipping.

And it's re-fretted? Wow. Reminds me of David Hoods bass. Someone should grab this.

I should note that if I get the Anniversary electronics that I ordered and decide to install them in this bass, then the price will go up substantially.

How about just the body for $3300 shipped (empty, no pickups or electronics)?
