Several months ago, I bought a used Alembic Essence 4 string bass.  The bass plays and sounds great, but after playing a Spoiler and a Series I for so long, the small body of the Essence just feels kinda awkward to me.  It's not bad, and I would probably get used to it in time, but I thought I'd just ask if anybody had a different Alembic bass (with a wider body) that they'd want to trade.  It's a long shot, but that's what makes life interesting.  Email me if you've got something in mind and we can exchange pix, etc.

Would you consider an outright sale? I'm in the market for an Alembic but my bad back won't tolerate the weight of most models.

I don't think I'm ready to do that just yet.  If I sold it outright, I would immediately try to find another Alembic.  I know it's probably a long shot that somebody has a different Alembic that they also want to trade, but it doesn't hurt to ask. :-)

Kipknee.. I'll trade the '85 Spoiler I have listed.. and Kungfusheriff... I'll sell the Essence bass to you. Let me know if this sounds cool to you both.

Let me think about that.  I've already got a Spoiler, almost identical to the one you're selling.  However, I recognize that the whole trade concept was a long shot and I shouldn't be too picky.

This is still available for a trade of some type.  Perhaps even an equivalent valued non-Alembic bass? (Gasp!)
