International shipping is no problem. Insured shipping to America is something about 50 ? - 80 ?.

What shipping company would you use?  
I think about ?400 to the US is more realistic... And there will be import duty + tax if you ship outside the EU, might not apply for US (someone prob. chime in, but I think you can mark it as returned US goods)
 
I had some interest from Austria for my bass, shipping would be +/- ?150 (by UPS, from Holland)

I referred to DHL germany. Shipping to the USA is 66 ? ( up to 20 kg ) plus 20 ? for the additional length Sperrgutzuschlag. The bass will be shipped in a Hiscox flightcase. There will be some case-candys too: perfect tools ( quality from Hazet germany ;-)), security locks, levis strap...  This shipping is insured up to 2500 ?. Of course there will be duty and tax, if the bass is sold outside europe.
