[SOLD] 1989 Burl Maple Series II

I am the original owner of this bass. In fact, this bass was featured in the Alembic catalogue in the late 1980's. I added red side LED's and upgraded to Series II electronics upon purchase prior to delivery. It already had a 7 piece purple heart/maple neck so it was destined to become a Series II all along. Long scale 34"neck, oval inlays, gold tuners, includes power supply and 5 pin cord, bookmatched top, back, and peghead, original hardshell case. Mint condition. Serial #89-5697 completed December 21, 1989. $7500 Please contact me for any additional information. Thank you.

The body is five piece burl maple/mahogany. Neck is seven piece purple heart/maple. I will consider shipping international if the price is fair.

Gorgeous bass. I would not think with these woods that you would have difficulties shipping outside of the U.S. good luck with the sale.

Just a note for those of you living the the States who have considered purchasing an Alembic currently owned by someone living outside of the U.S. My recent experience with the purchase of an Alembic bass located in Canada indicated that its a lot easier to get something back into the country that was made here (i.e. an Alembic Bass) than to send it out. A little bit of paperwork and there was no difficulty clearing customs plus no import tax (as long as there was proof it was U.S. made).
