yeah the guitar player was taking a beer break on this song.  we were doing never been any reason by head east with just vocals bass and drums.  it was awesome!
 
 i can pretty much push a 2nd instrumentalist clear outta the room with that 8-string if i'm of the mind to.
 
i guess lefty drummers are rare, no?  at any rate i'm almost always set up stage right so it's kinda nice to hear the high hat better.
 
actually that fretless is a long scale (just measured it to be sure) it's known in some circles as the steve fossen bass.  usually it gets played on about 1/3 of our songs but lately all of my other basses have been taking a back seat to the spyder!  i dunno why i even bothered to take it outta the case!

I wanted that bass really bad when it was at Bunny Bass but I did not have the money at the time. Oh well...
