This is probably a bogus auction.  This bass was sold five weeks ago under eBay item 3752662022 out of someplace in Texas.  I bid on that bass and received a bogus second chance offer.  The pics on this listing are from the old one as well.  In any case, buyer beware!!!

Yeah, it?s even the same description up to a point and - even more bizarre - the same reason for selling... Just mailed the guy for a photo of the backside (wasn?t included in the original auction), let?s see what he comes up with...

This one has the classic red flags for a fraudulent auction:  The seller is brand new to e-bay - member as of 11/26, today, and has no feedback;  a private auction so that when the losing bidders all get second chance offers they can't communicate with each other;  the seller doesn't take pay-pal - how much you want to bet that the winner will be instructed to send a Western Union wire transfer to a friend in another country.  Yea, right.

Just received an answer: The guy, who calls himself Terry Glover, managing director of www.backpocket.net (?!?), goes on to cite all the info that was in the original auction but not in his and also included all the photos he didn?t use for his auction... No pic of the backside, so far. Instead, he offered me to buy it directly for 1.400,- Euro, and of course I have a one week trial if I don?t like the bass...
Hell, I would like to buy a bass like this at that price - but not from you, mate!

If the current owner were in Europe, he'd be into it for at least $2K Euros as of last month, plus any entry taxes that weren't evaded.

Well, at least no club regular will be taken in by this one...

This bass now seems to have dissappeared from e-bay.  Score one for the good guys.
