Thanks, Peter, for helping us to clarify what we really mean about a commercial marketplace. We've got some details posted over here but the gist is that it's okay for authorized Alembic dealers to post simple notices of new Alembics for sale in the For Sale section. No spamming the other topics, and keep it all Alembic (or face my wrath (I am so scary!)).

Oh, and what's a for sale thread without a photo or two?

Ruthenium plating on the hardware looks cool

 Nice back!

Thanks for the clarification Mica.
Expect a call from me tomorrow afternoon about something completely different. :-)

Ruthenium plating

Never heard of it - sounds like old time Yankees hitting long home runs!  However, I suspect that's not what it means.

So?  What exactly is Ruthenium plating?

Grez - pay no attention to the grumpy old fart behind the keyboard; apologies.  Carry on.

Mica - glad to be of assistance (that Further would be quite an alright token of appreciation.....yummy!)

I have been talking with Jim since last week about this very guitar with the Ruthenium plating, then I came across this post tonight! I'm doing a road trip to Austin tomorrow just to see the Further in person & see if there might perhaps be some Ruthenium in my future! No, I'm not buying the Further, those strings are way too skinny for me, but I think the Ruthenium would look pretty sweet on a nice 5 string! :-)
