This is a pretty sad day. The accumulation of a very tough year with massive medical bills. This is one of the Zebrawood instruments that is so desirable. This bass is immaculate. OHSC. Cable. No Box, unless you want to purchase my DS 5R as well. It is located in Portland Oregon. My contact info is nickmiesle@gmail.com.  This is the Holy Grail of Alembics. I am not giving this away, so please contact me for price.

It is described here http://alembicguitars.net/club/messages/411/108937.html?1323876154

Thanks for looking, Nick

Stunning bass, very sorry you have to let it go, hope things are brighter for you in the coming year!

Beautiful bass, so sorry to hear about your situation.

I didn't even have to look... that's the Will Gunn bass.

Man, sorry to hear you have to let it go... but I've been there before too. =(

moongerm

Will Gunn's first bass! Wow, great story!

Nick,

I am sorry to hear of this. I hope things get better this coming year.

FYI, I have worked for both the major health care not-for-profits and know that if you talk to them, they will often write off large amounts on their bills. They factor in uncompensated care in the huge charges they dish out.

Oh man Nick that sucks!
Sounds like my last year. That's a sweet bass.
More importantly I hope you are coming out of whats ailing you.

Peace,
Pete

Wow, guys. You are all the best online bro's there are. And this is the greatest forum of all time. Dave I will check into that, thanks! This is the reason I missed out on the last gathering.

If it is Legacy or Providence they often cut folks a break who are struggling. I hear Kaiser is OK too, I think. They 'pad' the bills knowing insurance companys will slash what they will pay out anyway. You have to maybe talk to the right person. You can also try going through the Hospital Foundations or the Pastoral Services dept as well. They can sometimes exert influence.

Best to you!

Nick, sorry to hear that you are going through a rough patch.  Hopefully, things will improve in the new year.  When it comes down to it, health is more important than anything.  Get better and come on down for next year's NorCal gathering.
