Sold, packed and ready to go. I'm glad to report that it's going to a good home.

@ groovelines....have to agree that it's a great bunch of people here.

I'm a newbie, have learned much, and it's been a hoot so far.  Don't see it changing.

Alembic devotees seem to, well, get it like no one else.

Looking forward to posting pics of my very first one...as soon as I find her.

Out for delivery.

@yogalembic - Happy hunting. I've had three, and sold three. Different in many ways, but alike in their purpose and a joy to play.

She made it here in great shape.  Without lines is going to take some work.  Put some 1/2 rounds (D'Addario)and they sound pretty good.  I have DR Highbeams on my fretless Jazz and wanted the same for my new Elan, but everywhere I checked, they were sold out.   I think that regular nickel roundwounds that I use on my Rogue would be a little rough on my fingers, so I shied away from them.

Thanks Michael for working out the adoption.   Hopefully, we'll cross paths soon!

A quick question for the experts on the board.  This Elan has 3 batteries, one in the control cavity and two in a smaller separate compartment.  Are the two separate ones for the LED's located at the octave spot?   If so, I might forgo the LEDs, since I don't play in the dark.

Hi Stephen, it was a pleasure getting to know you.
Take your time, let that muscle memory develop. For me, once I could reliably find low F I let my ears take dictate intonation more so than the side dots. It wont take long!
