Selling my 01 Essence. It is a short scale (30.5 inches) 4 string with Q-switch. Beautiful figured walnut front. SC neck and fret markers. Ebony fingerboard. I am going to put it on eBay and Craigslist if it doesn't sell in 2 weeks. Any marks or white spots in pictures are only in the pictures. The bass is just about flawless. More pix on request. Well, Frank, looks like this will be my second Essence.  It will have a happy home in Vermont.  Believe me, I am as excited now as you were when you got your second Alembic.  Glad to find you here and know that you're 'for real'.  I'm getting a very funny feeling about some sort of spiritual vibe that flows in and around these beautiful basses.  What are they doing out there in California, offering them to the gods?

Frank, the bass has arrived safe and sound and I am really blown away!  This is a truly fine instrument.  Thank you for your attention to detail in getting it to me safely.  I'm putting her through her paces, so much louder than my '92 Essence, maybe the pickups are turned up more.  Learning to use the Q switch, so many more choices... I like it.  A lot.
