Yes folks, this is the one that I recently acquired from another club member just 2 months ago.  To say that it was an impluse buy would be an under-statement!  My style of lazy playing does not work at all on a fretless, and although I thought I could, I do not have the desire to learn another instrument.

So it's now up for sale.  Here's the link to the previous thread on this fine instrument: http://alembicguitars.net/club/messages/395/48923.html?1207941381

Nothing has changed except that the bass is now 2 months older, it's got a new set of D'Addario flat wound strings and a setup. Serial number is 000W12383 and I'm sure that Alembic can supply you with the build specifications.  It comes with a semi-rigid, soft-sided case.

I would like to get back what I paid for it which is $1,700.00.  If you're interested you can email me directly at ellerysoifer@gmail.com

I can't tell you how much I want this bass!!!
Sadly I cannot even think of affording it.
Good luck with the sale.

Hey Ellery, what's the scale length? Thanks.

Hi Tim,

The scale length is 34
What kind of dog is that in your profile?

Hi Ellery,

Darn, part of me was hoping that you would say 35, that way, my interest would have pretty much gone away, since I prefer 34 5's. I really need another bass like a hole in the head, really. I will have to think about this seriously, and will get back to you. Of course, if someone else comes along, don't hesitate to sell.

That's my buddy, Yogi, who is a rescue dog from Los Angeles. As best as I can determine, I think he is Havanese. This is just based on characteristics. At some point, I may do a dna test, just for the heck of it.

Thanks for your time, and quick response.

Tim

The bass was sold today to a young local (Montreal) musician who is a far better player than I am.  This bass (IMHO) deserved a good home and now has one.
