If anyone's curious, the backplate is sapele, laminated to some plastic stock, shielded inside and finished outside. I made it for Slam last year. (forgetting momentarily, his Spoiler was koa... not mahogany)

Totally agree ! It looks well loved, yet loved It's the perfect look for that bass. Slam, is that Ivan "Slammer" ? Either way, great bass and perfect weight ! What's the scale length ? 32" or 34" ? Thanks , Mike
