thanks Brent...bass is now sold, and actually played great and has served me well the past 12 years, but ever since I started playing alembics it has not seen any use at all.  As much I hate parting with anything, the older I get it is harder to justify hanging onto instruments that don't get played often...Id much rather see them in the hands of people who would use the,.
