Not up for buying more gear, but had to say it looks WONDERFUL.  Just love the 5A Quilted Maple - could sink into it. I have a normal year 2000 Zebrawood Orion 4 which is perfect. What are East meets West electronics? The Q must have been an option. Glynn

Just sent you an e-mail for more info.  Glynn UK

Glynn, EMW is made up of V,P,Filter ,bass cut/boost &treble Cut/boost. Combining wesr coast (Alembic) and east coast (Fender style boutique) into one bass.Combine that w/the set neck on an Orion (no Alembic bolt-ons)and you get the picture.......=)

Thanks -all clear now and have found, by Googling ,a bass on Alembic website some years ago as the custom bass of the month which features this EMW.

Just to publicly thank Stoney for emailing more photos of this lovely instrument.  Sadly I am not in the market as my 2000 Orion 4 is doing all I want but if I could justify spending (having just bought Genz Benz/Streamliner set up!) then this would be high.  Glynn

Thanks Glynn, I hadn't been watching the page. The bass is still for sale.. Stoney

Indeed! And I love it more each time I play it! Especially since I now know what the knobs do : )

Nice to know the Orion is still local and in the hands of a most excellent bassist!
