THE EAGLE HAS LANDED, or should that be THE DOVE HAS LANDED.

EITHER she's a here and all I can say is, pictures don't do it justice. This is simply marvelous.

In my totally biased opinion, easily the best custom Alembic has ever made.

So, I take it the honey-do list is going to be neglected this weekend?

Congratulations, Olie. I know you've been waiting a long time for this.

Honey-do List?

1.Take this Honey home.
2.Take this Honey into my music lair.
3.Plug this Honey in and turn it on.
4.This Honey returns the favor (turns me on) .

NO Mike, this list WILL be done!

Well as for the list 1 thru 3 have been completed, number 4 is still in the process! I just had to take a break and eat something.

I spoke to Mica on the phone earlier and she had said that she and her dad were very impressed with the sound of this bass. Well DITTO to that.
In fact I've uncased the other 4 siblings to compare the sound differences and not a one sounds like this baby. The sustain is unending and the low end is.... well lets just say we thought we had our first quake in the DFW area.

YES I can say I now have a NEW favorite axe.

To the entire Alembic crew, and especially Susan and Mica a heart felt THANKYOU.

OO.

Wow.  Congratulations on a wonderful instrument!

With two ebony stripes in the neck the low end must be pure insanity!  Awesome. :-)

Great wood choice and placement! I can't quite decide whether I prefer the top or the back (and BTW, why isn't it top/bottom or front/back?), though I think this is the right choice.

Either way, I think both are going to look even better once they've been rounded at the edges. This is going to be a beauty, congrats.
