Hey John - Sent you an email.  I'll post some links to some vids soon.  We just got a '67 vibrolux here at the studio and I have been messing about with it between tracking projects, so I haven't had a chance to do a video yet.  But I think that time is coming close - maybe something fun with a looper pedal and a bunch of sounds with the same guitar could be in order

Yup - I wanted to send these on Friday, but I just had to go home, I was feeling so lousy.

I'm still feeling lousy (I should really be at home), but your guitar looks really really awesome.

Any Progress here?  Also Mica, did you receive the strings I sent some time back?

Thanks,
Neil

Hi Neil - I got the strings, and your guitar is just patiently waiting in queue for setup attentions. There's Rich's, Pierre-Yves', an inlay, and one repair in line before it.

Mica - Any Updates or New Pics?  Thanks,

Neil

We're still finishing up Pierre-Yves' bass, so yours will be getting the last leg of work done very soon. Sorry I can't give you a more definite answer than that.

2008-2011.5 and counting...

...the project I'm working on right now could have really used this guitar I think.  Of course I said that 2 records ago too.

I saw your guitar back in January.  It's quite nice if that helps.  And I know that doesn't.

I've been watching these threads for some time now.  Coco Bolo seems notoriously bad for taking a long time in the finishing process.  I doubt it is any comfort to someone anxious to receive their guitar.  For what it's worth, Austin has been waiting since 2006 to receive his Classico, and I know there are other customers who have been waiting for some time as well.  Perhaps calling Alembic directly would be the best way to get a solid answer.

I should have reached out to you before. Your guitar was being worked on, but it still needs some attention from my dad and I, and towards the end of April, I got sick and then he got sick and it lasted nearly 6 weeks. He's just back to work this week at full strength, so our whole schedule was set back a good month or so. You may have noticed my postings here on the Club were fairly infrequent over the last few weeks, and that is why.

It's the curse of a small business that when a few people or even one person is out, it can have a huge impact on what happens. I know we'll complete your guitar soon and I'll be dropping it off at your place or you can pick it up here.

You're always welcome to call or email directly of course.
