However, Spiderman is already in good company with another very well known Alembic member.

Well, yesterday I learned 2 of the top 5 of my choice favorite bass FTC builds, were completed and heading to their owners.

To: Ed and Rick...

My best regards to you, and your wonderful axes! It was quite a joy watching your basses, while being built, and I hope both of you guys, show your latest action pictures in the future. Just create a thread, and slam them with tons of pictures!

With so much excitement, I am also very happy to know, my Toma_Hawk Bass is now with Ron -- for his final engineering, and calibrations exercises.

It's been a long time coming, and I am getting really excited now...(to say the least.)

Anyway, after Ron's work is complete, the bass get's re-tested until it passes all phases, and at some point, Mary inspects until she approves... and only after she approves, -- I'll get the call.

I have no clue, on how long this is going to take so, I'll just leave my concerns to a higher power, and get on with life's other interesting concerns...

Mica said she would provide more body shots. The back-plates are chrome metal plates. After thinking about wooden plates and how beautiful they would be on this bass, I voted for the metal plates instead.

I had an epiphany for having a stronger desire for metal back-plates VS. wooden ones, but here's why I wanted metal ones...

First, the original concept, included metal plates, and since this is a smaller bass, the metal plates added weight, are a welcoming addition to counter balancing the neck. Secondly, although wooden plates are surly better looking, however they offer very little utility in shielding RF noise, and providing the strengths, for a lasting and more durable bass.

So, the Chrome plates wins... and with all the benefits they provide, it's my Toma_Hawk's original signature recipe, for this FUNK HEAVY METAL MONSTER!

Peace and Love,

But what if it sounds like an '84 Westone and the action is three inches off the neck?

the_jester

What, in reference to the Toma_Hawk bass?

Oh, I get it now...(innocent me)  you're cracking jokes... Haa haaa, that was so funny.

Now, I have a question for you... (you might find this funny too...)

Have you ever heard of an Alembic Bass, let alone seen one that are made the way you described?

If so, please do me the honors share this insight with me, I am sure it will be very entertaining as well.

O' well, ...what ever make's you happy.

Peace and Love,

THERE IT IS...

THE ULTIMATE HOOD ORNAMENT

What a journey this had been...

Seeing the Alembic logo on my Toma_Hawk bass, is truly heart felt. I honestly had never felt this way about any inanimate object before. This is the big one folks. This is a real treasure for me, to behold and become inspired.

I am just a nobody, with a dream.

Peace and Love,
