I love it- I wasn't a big fan of the body shape when I first saw it in your photo renderings, but seeing the bass in the last set of photos has changed my mind.  I love the sharp upper horns and the symmetry of the bass.

Well done!

What an original bass (and that is quite a compliment cosidering the each an every Alembic bass is different)

Computer simulation models time...

The Toma_Hawk was originally black, and was smaller. The body would eventually get slightly larger, but still smaller than the Short Body.

On color, the newer brick red tone color, (Vermilion) has a warmer/earthly look.

My many thanks goes out to Susan, who suggested Vermilion wood (also known as Padauk).

The pickups are favorably corrected for balance and symmetry for the controls.

By the way, Mica came up with the Arrow head control pattern. Perfect for a bass called: Toma_Hawk!!!

Vann-Di, I truly love all the shapes that leaves the Alembic factory floors.

Maybe one day, I will have one of every shape and of different configurations.

That's why I keep my dollar in the office Lottery pool

Thanks Smokinbear,

Like I said when I first seen Mica's pictures, I was literally frozen in animated suspension. The bass was too real to be true, they did it... They'd pulled it off with flying colors.

When something cool takes you away from your worldly problems for a second, and it strikes a pleasure sensory in your brain, that's a great thing. That's real.

Hey Oliver, it's even harder on me now... I can't wait to hold it... and play it until I can't help myself. That's what playing real music is all about!
