Wow, I'd almost forgotten about this bass. That's an amazing looking tailpiece and as Toby has said, not at all what we expected after the last discussions.

Another in-prgress shot of the tailpiece:

Ahhh....Thank you. I needed that!

This is the sample of the hammer finish on a scrap tailpiece:

The tines show you why the hammering has to come first!

We're getting a blank all hammered up for you, and we'll machine your final tailpiece from it.

We reworked the tailpiece shape (again!), and all the parts were sent to the plater this week:

Love the hammered look. It's on the face of the bridgeblock, the tailpiece and the bridge rails.   Pickups are in spray:

A hammered bridge block; now how cool is that!

Very nice!  So many stunning features.  Destined to become a COTM.

Nice one, Adam!

And great bass!  Can't wait to see it finished!

Thanks Charles, I wasn't even HAMMERED when I thunk it up!

Wow! Amazing and beautiful plus. Wonders never cease. What a great angle shot of the back. With all that visual depth, what does the front now look like? It is very exciting to know this instrument is moving ahead. Thank you.
