Bumping an older thread here, but Wow... this guy was definitely headed down the same path as me!  
 
I gave serious consideration to a set neck on my custom, but opted in favor of 3 purpleheart lams instead. Love the classic soft-horn Omega, and the simple circuits. I probably would've gone with the Crown headstock on a 4-string, but hey - that's why they do custom builds.

So when we spoke today about the control layout, I was all concerned about the Q switch location, which is shown in the 3D mockup below:
 

 
But tell me if you prefer postion A or B for the output jack.

I preffer B for the output jack(JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZ this instrument is beautiful!!!).
