Recently purchased this and am interested as to the top wood used.  Have any indication from
Bocote to Wenge ?  SN# 96W9644  Any thoughts?

Looks like Bocate for the top to me.  The body wood is typically going to be Mahogany, and that color seems to jive with that.  Wenge tends to be a fair bit darker.  
 
Love the top on your bass.  Epic's aren't normally my favorite body style, but that top wood really works well with the body shape.

I'd go with bocate too as it looks similar to the top on my bocage bass.
