Great contrast with the densely packed straight grain at the center and the loosely spaced area for the wider part of the body.

That looks like a topographical map.

This looks like the back of my in vitro Further.  I believe this is from the same piece I picked out.  The photo doesn't do it justice, it is nothing short of spectacular in person.
