I could make one of my dream come true!

This is the first upright bass for me. So the way would be long, winding and steep but I'm sure it's worth to go.  Toshiaki

Congratulations!!
I was hoping for one of those for Christmas, but I guess Santa missed my tree.
That Classico looks outstanding...
Have fun with it! (Like if there was any other option!)

Man, That is one georgeous bass! I'm really happy for you!
I love playing the upright. Once you get into to  thumb position, you'll really fly around on it.The action looks to die for!! Please take a side photo of your bass!

This bass has so much wood it must have taken a whole tree to build it ;-)
Enjoy the Bass!!

Toshiaki -
The upright is a different beast altogether, creating many different opportunities.

Your Classico is beautiful and should provide you great joy.

I got a 'traditional' upright 6 years ago and am still learning on it. Here is one tip I can offer (as obvious as it may seem) if you find yourself getting frustrated while practicing - STOP! Take a break and walk away from it. Eventually the instrument will start to feel natural to you and then the true Toshiaki can express himself through this instrument.

ENJOY!

Hi Paul,

Thank you very much for the good advice. As you say frastration would not make anything. I beleive that keep on enjoying is good way for steady progress if it would be a hard work.

Hey Toshi,
congrats to that beauty.
How is the beast tuned, classic acoustic bass style?

Hi Oliver,

The bass is tuned EADG. Now I'm not enough skillful for upright bass to try other tuning.

What an incredible instrument.  I am especially intrigued by the piece that extends over the electronics cover plate.  Is it original from the factory, or a customer modification?

Best wishes for your health and happiness while playing it.

Hi Kevin,

I was surprised at it's beauty of the body rest piece too. The wood grain or laminate construction of the piece seems to be Alembic quality so I think it must be factory origenal.

Well, then I could also play that beast....
It grows on me.....
