We managed to get a table stage-side at Yoshi's.  Last time I was this close to Stanley at a concert I bought the bass he was playing 8 years later.  Guess I have until 2027 to save up for this spalted top beauty.

Cool!

What is that thing in front of him that looks like it might have five strings, looks too big for a viola, and looks too small for a cello?

adriaan

Dave, it's actually too small for a viola as it is a violin, and a 5 string at that. Evan Garr is touring with Stanley.

Ah!  I was fooled by the picture into thinking the violin was much closer to him.  Thanks!

James - I didn't know you were in town. Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up. I went to the last Sunday show, which one were you attending?

Hi family ! I missed him this time, but saw all the other ones, pretty much. I had the center table in the front, too ! Dead center ! It was amazing.

Hey Mica,

We went to the Saturday 2nd show.  We were in town for the Raiders / Lions game.  Thought about giving you a call and making a short jaunt up to Santa Rosa, but we didn't get in until late Friday and left at the crack o' dawn Monday so I assumed you would be closed then.
