A Rose Royce concert was the first time I ever saw an Alembic.  I've spent the last 30-ish years thinking Car Wash was recorded with that bass.
 
Oh well.  I still have the Tooth Fairy.

I found an old late '70's early 80's dutch Rose Royce concert which you can download by following the link. It's that old funky buttery Alembic sound. Rose Royce Rotterdam
