Thanks Bucky,
Brings back many memories. My birds eye maple short scale was my first Alembic and it looked a lot like yours. I bought mine in 1980 used at 48th Street for $800. Dela 217 owned it after me and now I hear its living in Europe. I loved the neck, the scalloped nut. The series electronics need a little work and the bridge was played hard, so I sent it to Alembic to have it fixed up. The new one will be my main instrument moving forward, so I will be playing it out a lot. It will not be spending much time in the case !

This might have been discussed before but how along in Hot Tuna did Jack play O'L #1?  This video being 1973, did it make to 1975 Yellow Fever?

Pete , How have you been ?
To Answer your  question regarding the 1975  Hot Tuna Yellow Fever sessions AT Wally Heider Studios ___   I think yes! ___ 72-001 was played BUT  after that perhaps not . _BY  1976 perhaps the Flying V with the Guild BI Sonics was played more for a while  by Jack ( speculation ) .. In 1975 I was  for a fact !  an Audio Engineering student at  Wally Heider Studios , But was NOT completely cognizant of all the AWESOME stuff going on there at the time ___ ___ ___ ETC ... LOL

Hi Wolf,
1975 cool! It?s great to have historical perspective. Not to hijack but I was around Tony Levin?s Yellow Musicman right after a King Crimson show when I worked at The Hit Factory in the 80?s. Fond memories.

So 1975 O?L #1 was still around and in that year ?Americas Choice? came out. One of my favorite all time Rock songs is ?Funky #7? I would love to hear that was the Bass used!

I?ve been blissfully busy playing and designing a new Choral area in our Church.
Peace,
