Frank,
If I may misquote the rest, Jack gets you there in time.

Ah Yes!. . Jack Casady! In this humble bassists opinion one of the *greatest* rock bassists ever to pick up an axe. . .SO creative. . SO truly original. In truth The Jefferson Airplane were *anything* but a typical rock band. Their foundations had as much to do with jazz and experimental music as anything else. Not to mention the fact that they were one of THEE most original vocal bands ever (I speak of course of the Grace, Paul, Marty, Jorma, Jack, Spencer version) Their harmony structures were so *out there*. . building all those great weird harmonies on 5ths instead of 3rds and from the top down! Damn I miss them. . . when people ask me nowdays whats missing in mainstream rock I tell them go listen to 'After Bathing at Baxters' by The Jefferson Airplane. Then you'll know. .

Jack  Casady does not own number one anymore, he let it go in a moment of weakness & I believe he regrets it.  The current owner is registered with us but prefers to remain anonymous, for understandable reasons.

Jack Cassidy is an amazing bass player. If you ever see the Altomonte Concert video.... You'll notice he breaks an A string near the beginning of one of the first songs and he continues to play without missing a note.

Valentino,
Just wondering.  Does Alembic have records of where many of the other early instruments are?  Not asking who, of course.  I hope they are not just sitting in the closets of unknowing heirs who know them only as dad's old bass.

Jefferson Airplane 1968. Jacks Guild has some mods to it. The sound is killer.

Jacks Alembic was the coolest! I LOVE Crown of Creation. SO cool they played it on a primetime TV show. Where is this kind of politically astute rock music these days?
