toma hawk01..the 'Miles' book in the pic..a good read?? Do you recommend it??
I am halfway thru' Ron Wood's biography, an great read and makes me wish I was born about 10 -15 years earlier and in London!!

Comfort strap for me 'cos 93MK weighs too much for my weedy frame but I like the ornamental decoration of your strap.

It's honest. It's Miles life as he see it. Miles is a very opinionated person, and this is what makes his book extremely hard to put down. I love it when people are real, and makes no apologies to having an opinion. Miles is no politician, that's for sure. He tell it like it is, weather he's wrong or right. This book is hard hitting on his own personal weaknesses as well, and personal triumphs. So, it pretty balanced.

I laughed so hard, and cried with him too. This is one of those books, you can't put down, and before you do, you're halfway done.

He goes through a who's who list in music and describes his very personal encounters with everybody and holds back nothing even offensive things about others, nor he was ever ashamed of telling his readers who he loved, couldn't stand... It gets pretty graphic. But what would you expect from Miles Davis anyway?

This is not the Autobiography of Lawrence Welk by any stretch of your imagination... and he's cool too...

I don't blame you on the straps... A light strap is a very good strap (that's for sure...). I have a Short Body and my newer bass is even smaller, so the extra weight of a strap, will not make much of a differences. I completely understand what you mean. I had a huge Omega body S1 in the 80's and it hurt so good... My back was numb after jams, but it sure did sound good. The short body was my answer, and now the New Toma_Hawk is a even better answer because its proportionally smaller than the original small body.  But you know how wood is... density plays a huge roll.

For what it's worth; I have Milestones by Jack Chambers and can highly recommend it.  Relatedly, I also have Kind Of Blue by Ashley Kahn, and highly recommend it as well.
