I received the Guitar Center Platinum Collection catalogue today and saw a Vintage 1976 Alembic Custom Scorpian being advertised for $6,995.00

If that Scorpion is at the Hollywood store it might still be the same one that I checked out there in April 2009. I think it has been there for a while. At the time they also had a 2Oth Anniversary that I  checked out and played as well .

My '98 Epic is a Guitar Center special edition.

Looks like they have a Series bass from 1980 listed for four grand. Not too bad. Ooooh, and a '69 Les Paul Bass for $1400...and a Regal Mando-Bass...

Want to try something funny, do a search once in a while on Amazon for 'Alembic'. They have sellors on there who post them occasionally too.
