This 1993 Essence 6-string arrived and I am in love. 

I wanted to share a few close up pictures to see whether this helps clarify the woods used. Comments on an earlier post suggested possibly schedua or bubinga. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge with a new Alembic owner.

It's one or the other. I'm leaning towards schedua, but... maybe...


The body core is certainly mahogany. The neck is maple with walnut pinstripes.
