Is it just me, or does anyone else use their leather bass strap upside down (ie. Slippery side down) so it can move more easily and not grab your clothing too much? Maybe I'm a fussy bugger, but I find it annoying when I move my bass around and my shirt goes with it. It's not like I jump around at all, but I'm always adjusting the bass position when playing, so want my top to stay put.  
 
The reason I'm asking, is I'd love to buy one of those gorgeous Alembic straps, but it would be a shame for the logo to be hidden from view.  Unless of course, they are available with a slippery finish on the underside? :p

Sorry, I don't use a leather strap.

Alison at Moody Straps (she makes the straps for Alembic) has just started making straps with smooth leather lining as an option instead if the usual suede.  I picked one up at the Guitar Show in San Rafael last weekend.  Beautiful strap, buttery soft.  Two big thumbs up!  I believe you can order directly from her with the Alembic logo - she charges a modest licensing fee for Alembic.

EG, one nice thing about the grab of their leather strap is it helps control a neck heavy bass such as an SC. Now there is an idea, just buy an SC to go with your leather strap! Don't think they make a smooth version so a new bass it is.
