30 degrees is a heat wave! Anyway, to celebrate my wife took me to see Justice League....it was good! I'm glad I lived long enough to see most of my comic book heroes on the Silver Screen! Yo Hammer....I'm a big fan of Prince too! I'm scared the Vikings may cream the Eagles provided the Eagles get their act together

Not to rub it in, but 74ยบ outside currently here in SoCal. :)

It was 0 degrees (F) and -18 wind chill here when I woke up this morning.  It has warmed up to 7 degrees (F) now, but will drop to 2 tonight with -14 wind chill.  Let's hear it for wool sweaters and down parkas!  :)

Single digits here in Virginia again tonight...  Brr. Not sure which is worse - wind chill or heat index. I think the same guy came up with both.  ;D

I took this picture of my favorite axe a few years ago! I put the Lemon Oil & Orange Oil on this fingerboard last night and let it soak in real good, the aroma was/superb! Hey Mica, thanks for the idea!! I'll put some photos up with the oils being enjoyed by my fingerboard shortly.

So far, all I've accomplished is a note on my to-do list; but it's a start.

Here's a couple more photos! Soon I will shine up the body's satin finish with some Luthier Polish designed by Jeff Judd that works marvelously on my axe. It really makes the satin finish glow! I use the polish on my Double Bass & a few years ago tried the polish on my Distillate & now that's all I use!! This is like Christmas all over again! I still get excited each time I clean up my axe!

Hey Dave! Your cover of Chick Corea's tune was beautiful!! What did you use to record the song?

David Houck

Thanks, Chalie!  For recording, I'm using a DAW called Reaper.  I'm not very good at using it, but I've figured out enough to know which is the record button.  :)  Still takes me a while to get the beginning and end trimmed.  The interface I'm using is a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6.

The aroma is the bonus, right Chalie? You use a lot more oil than I do - I guess you must wipe up a bit when you're done?

rv_bass

That's a really cool looking bass, Charle. :)

charles_holmes

Thanks for the information Dave, once again, your recording sounds amazing!  You're absolutely correct Mica in that I do use a lot of the oil but the bonus aroma of the orange!... It's like an aromatic elixir!...That was a great idea Mica! Hey rv_bass, My Distillate & I appreciate the compliment!!
