Greetings from old germany!
Last week I bought an Alembic EVH Ser.-Nr 96EVH9914.
I have no technical information about my new bass.
Does anybody have some information about the electronics?

Best Regards
Helmut N?ker

Hi Helmut,

Welcome to the club. As I remember well it has a mohogany body with Coco Bolo top, ebony fretboard, maple walnut neck laminates, brass hardware. Signature electronics and a 3 pin XLR output. Led's on/off switch near the output. It was designed bij Edwin van Huik from Bass Connection in Hilversum Holland. That's about it. It's not the original case though. It's in the showcase. http://club.alembicguitars.net/Images/411/2878.html?1043499944
Enjoy your bass, I still love that coco bolo top.

Cool bass.  I really like the wave at the end of the body (not visible here, but in that link elsewhere in the club site).

What does the writing on the headstock say?  It's in the position where a Stanley Clarke or Mark King signature would have been signed, so I assume that it's Edwin van Huik, but mostly just curious.  Does this guy work for/own the store you mention or is he a performer?

David,

that's what it says. Edwin van Huik. He owns the store Bass Connection here in the Netherlands http://www.connectionbult.com/ and he is the Alembic distributor for the Benelux. Plus he's a performer as well.

Hi Helmut,

welcome and nice to see another german Alembic freak on board.
I assume your new EVH bass was the one on german ebay?
Very nice one!
