hi i have to ask, my tribute has a Ferrite Bead on the 3 pickup wires, is this something that is necessary for the alembic electronics or would ant buffered obel benefit from this?

The ferrite bead works as a shield against interference penetrating the wire and getting mixed up in the signal. So it should be of benefit even with a passive harness.
