As the subject line suggests, I am curious if any of the residents have plugged their Alembic into an Epifani AL 112 and made a joyful sound.

Background info - I am currently running my Alembics through a 1967 Ampeg B15N. Ever since hearing what my Series II can sound like through Rusty's El Whappo rig at the TX Alembic meeting I have been looking for a living room-rated combo amp that could give me similar sonics without the heft. The little Epifani looks on paper like it could fit the bill.

Looks like a pretty decent little combo... fairly simple controls, and the switchable impedence allows for an extension cab. I'd definitely like to try one, but for roughly the same footprint, and 38 lbs, unless it completely blew me away I'd just as soon stay with my Mesa Walkabout/Scout. 

I own a Epifani UL210, not a combo amp but a 2x10" neodimium cabinet.

Simply love it: full range (40Hz~16KHz), loud (103dB/W@m) and easier to carry around than a 8x10" ampeg (45 pounds). In other hand, evaluation is a matter of taste in a sense. I know that some complain against deep end's low definition on ported cabs (kind of smeared or not tight), but the convenience of a lightweight cab comes first to me nowadays... and I like its tone for real.

But since I didn't had the chance to fiddle with other cabinets at home, I can't really compare it with other brands (I have used some good amps and cabs at stage, live, but this is not the best way to deeply know a piece of gear).

Hello,

I tried this Epifani combo as formal distributor for Benelux.
Did some gigs and used it with Mayones fretted and fretless, Yamaha TRB5P2, 70ies Fender JB.
What strikes you immediatly is the redicilous fast response, as the note come out before you even played them
Tone is lik all Epi equipment, clear, neutral but can be coloured to every flavour, modern, vintage, what you like.
The amp is equal to Epi's Piccolo, valve simulation and vintage add subtle differences but don't colour too strong.
For loud gigs this combo reaches the limits on low frequencies as it's ony 1x 12 inch.
I used it with an UL112 and got th full stack sound I needed.
Not a cheap combo but soundwise one of the best.
(I am not commercially involved with Epifani anymore, but still love the sound and I us always a UL2-310)
