My old S1 could use a touch-up coat of conductive silver paint in the control cavity.  Checking this out on the Web has proven that I don't know what I am doing and need help.  What kind and where to buy it are the two main concerns.  I have found some for $18 a 15g bottle for mounting specimens - hmmm . . .  I have little idea if this is what I want, or if I am way off base.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, that was a 'durr' moment.  A simple search of the club site found what I was looking for in minutes.  It is even cheaper than I expected - @ $28.50 for 1/2 pint, enough for several guitars - cool!

Yes, when I read your first post I was thinking that there had been a previous thread on shielding.  It might be informative to know if your touch up to the shielding has a significant effect.

1/2 pint is a HUGE ammount. Or you could go to American Gaming & Electronics (AG&E) website. They sell small bottles like the old Testors model paint size, perfect if you only need to do some lite touchup. I used it on my '81 Distillate.
