Hi all

I was just wondering - after the Series I/II, what was the process for naming the new (current) models of basses?  I have an Essence 5, and to me, the name makes perfect sense.  The electronics, build quality, etc., all say to me that the name reflects the 'essence' of an Alembic bass (at least that's how I think of it).  Any info would be appreciated - I really like the various names, and think it would be interesting to hear about their genesis.

Thanks,

Gregory

My understanding is that for many years Alembics bore names that began with an E to pay homage to the cars of Lotus which similarly began with an E (Elan, Europa, Elite, Esprit, Elise, etc.)

Maybe they should try BMW, 850 csi is a great place to start.
