I had a chance replay the above solo, to marinate again, before this post regretfully gets buried with the rest of our messages in the sand...  
 
After listening again, I felt happy to know Alembics are deeply rooted and grounded in the FUNK (THE BEATLES OF FUNK). I rest my case, the case is closed.
