Alembic fake or real?

...may have absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand here, but Mica confirms it was not made by her folks. Now we have this mystery Epic-shaped thing. Hmm.  ::)

Ahh, we appear to have a workshop in Sri Lanka knocking out fake Alembic bass guitars.



There are quite a number of Sri Lankan videos of guys playing Alembic basses. Perhaps you experts should comment on each one!

Yes, agreed, the bass in the first video if fake, as it says "made in Sri Lanka"
It sounds terrible too.


However, the Epic basses in the other 3 videos appear to be completely legit.
