Hi, I was wondering what happened with 73-39? Is the owner still a member here, and what is going on with that bass? Would love to see how it looks and hear the details on it after it arrived from GBase.

I'd love to see it too, if the new custodian wouldn't mind sharing pictures. The defining moment to order a custom Alembic came when I made the call to buy that bass, and learned it had just been sold. I've kept the pictures of that classic stored in a folder ever since. In fact, several rungs of DNA from #73-39 eventually made it onto #C14588. 

We did some minor restorative work on this bass last year. Cleaned up real nice, and now all the plates match. I'm not sure if the owner is a club member or not.

Here was (one of) the thread(s) on #73-39, that ended when the buyer logged in, saying they'd bought it and was sending it to Alembic for restoration. They haven't been active here since that first post.
